I started my car and the dash board instrument panel was blank and would not illuminate. I turn the car off and then again on, several times and the panel would not come on. I drove the car for 30 minutes but the panel remained dark and blank. I called the dealership on they told me to turn the car off for 15 minutes and try it again. This worked and the dash board cluster came back on. Being that I just bought the car, a 2025 Chevy Trax and had only 600 miles on it, I made an appointment to get it checked because this should not have happened. Supposedly, the technician checked the electronics, software up dates and messages from Chevrolet. The result I was told was they could not find a problem or the reason the panel wouldn't light up. I am hopeful that this will never happen again, but I also fear that after a few months I might be on the hook to pay for a computer chip that may have been electrostatically discharged and compromised at the manufacturer or dealer.
