Our transmission went and our mechanic doesn’t work on them plus we were only 1,500 miles over the warranty but within the 5 years still. Our mechanic had no issues diagnosing the transition meanwhile they were already working on a break sensor issue we were having. We decided to check on the warranty because I’ve heard that GM will sometimes push a warranty through that close to limit. We called and were told to have it towed there for diagnostics because they wouldn’t take another mechanics word in regards to what was wrong. Sounds legit so we had it towed. Once there they refused to even contact GM till we tended to the break/sensor issue first for about $500. Then of course it would be an additional $400+ to look at the transmission. A wasted towing and time.
